Objectives and Programme

Presentation

The presence of artists developing their work on site while in residence in the various centres will be complemented by the organisation of a “virtual workshop” led and co-ordinated by Lluís Sabadell Artiga, allowing anybody interested in the project to participate on an “expanded” basis by using the various communication tools available online.

Objective

To develop a collective artwork via the Internet. The work will be presented at the exhibition scheduled for 2010.

Format

As in the case of the project with on-site participants, this project is divided into two parts: the scientific seminar and the virtual residence.

The scientific seminar will consist of reading and online viewing of the lectures given from 14 to 17 October 2009, including virtual sessions with the presence of the participating scientists. You can consult the programme of the scientific seminar here.

The virtual residence will take place via weekly meetings on a collaborative web (ning) and virtual meetings using chat and Skype.

Technical requirements

In order to participate, you will need a computer with a broad-band connection to the Internet, with a microphone, loudspeakers and preferably (but not indispensably) a webcam.

Target demographic

This virtual workshop is aimed at anybody who, regardless of their occupation, wants to become involved in a shared online creative process revolving around art and ecology, within the framework of the project PYRENEES: ART AND ECOLOGY IN THE 21st CENTURY.
