About the association Accueil et Découverte du Conflent and the centre Les Isards in Pi de Conflent
The association Accueil et Découverte du Conflent is based in Pi de Conflent, at the foot of the Canigó, in the administrative region of Languedoc-Roussillon. Its catchment area is the district of Conflent, and most especially the nature reserve of Pi i Mentet, a protected space of almost 10,000 acres with altitudes stretching from 950 m to 2,450 m. As an association, the ADC manages the centre for initiation into mountain ecology, Les Isards, which is equipped to welcome groups of children, young people and adults for training, exchanges and encounters revolving around the discovery of the mountain ecosystems and the introduction to the socio-cultural and geo-economical reality of the Conflent.
The association is support by the Pi de Conflent Council, which acts as its headquarters, and it collaborates closely with the village’s Catalan Cultural Association, which mainly comprises local artists and people with an interest in popular culture.
