PRESENTATION

The objective of the project PYRENEES: ART AND ECOLOGY IN THE 21st CENTURY is to use contemporary artistic language to disseminate current scientific knowledge about the threats starting to be evident in the landscape as a result of global warming sparked by human activity. The project also seeks to discuss the sense and function that art can bring to our knowledge of nature and society in the 21st century.

PYRENEES: ART AND ECOLOGY IN THE 21st CENTURY comprises two phases:

  • Phase 1: Scientific seminar: evolution of the landscape, climate change and art (theory and practice)
  • Phase 2: Work period in residence

Subsequent to the completion of the seminar and the work period in residence, this website will be made available to the online participation of everybody interested in the environment and art.
